J K Rowling?s latest book ?Tales f Beedle The Bard? has failed to cast its magic on Pune readers. This is in contrast to the phenomenal success of all her seven titles in the Harry Potter series. The book was released on December 4. Worldwide it has sold 367625 copies five times more than it?s nearest rival Guinness Book of World Records 2008. The author has described ?Tales of Beedle the Bard? as a collection of bedtime stories for kids which are very much akin to fairytales of the ?Muggle? (non-magical) world. The book contains an elaborate version of the short stories that are mentioned in the previous Harry Potter books (namely Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) but have not been explained in detail.
