Potter film crewman sets up own company

Entrepreneur Chris Bogle, who has also worked on corporate films for major international brands such as Nike, has launched Veejo, which will eventually employ five people in Newcastle. The company is expected to turn-over £120,000 in its first year and will produce corporate videos for firms looking to break into the UK market. Mr Bogle has worked in film and television for over 10 years in various roles, including as a location assistant on Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and, most recently, as creative director at Newcastle-based Twenty First Century Media. He won a Royal Television Society award for best producer in his time at Twenty First Century Media, which was sold to London group Ten Alps earlier this year.

?I kind of thought we would do OK,? said Tribble, a May 2008 radio, television and film graduate. ?I didn?t think we would win anything and especially not second place ? I thought maybe an ?honorable mention. ?Tribble, along with her classmates Allison Bell and Graham Jones, entered their short film ?Harry Potter and the Torrid Love Affair. ? The comedy depicted a love triangle between Tribble, Jones and a third man, who is later revealed to be Harry Potter. ?I was in Hollie Lavenstein?s electronic production class,? Tribble said. ?We had to come up with a short film as a final project, and the last Harry Potter book had just come out, so that was fresh on my mind. We just thought it would be a funny movie to do.
