" Despite his new stage persona, Radcliffe will never be very far away from where he first earned his celebrity — those "Potter" films based on Rowling’s seven books. The movie version of number six, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," is already in the can and comes out in July 2009, after being bumped from November’s line-up. Filming of the last "Potter" book — "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" begins after Radcliffe finishes his "Equus" run in February. "I am sure I will be knackered but I adore filming on ‘Potter,’ " he says. "I can’t wait to get back there. " "Deathly Hallows" will be released as two movies — one in November 2010 and the last in summer 2011.

Although the majority of Cambridge Glass’s products go to university laboratories and the research departments of pharmaceutical companies, Andy’s five-strong team has occasionally taken on jobs that would make their Roman predecessors raise an eyebrow. Many of the test tubes and vials bubbling away in the Harry Potter films started life in Cottenham, and Johnny Depp would have been without his glittering cane in Charlie And The Chocolate Factory had it not been for the efforts of Cambridge Glass. Another celebrity client is Chris Evans, who once ordered two giant milkbottles which were promptly smashed on his TFI Fridayshow. (”They took four hours each to make,” Andy grumbles amiably. ) But the future of the local glassblowing industry is far from secure. The lack of young people entering the business is a worry, particularly as - by Andy’s estimate - training a glassblower from scratch to a level of reasonable competence takes around five years.
