Her latest heroine to take on the mantle of Britain’s answer to Doris Day is Lexi, who in Remember Me? awakes in 2007 from a five-day coma induced by a car crash thinking it’s still 2004. Three whole years are a complete blank. Initially, she is shocked to learn of such seismic cultural shifts as Brad leaving Jen for Angelina or there is a sixth Harry Potter adventure. But her own upheavals really shake her up. Once known as Snaggletooth, Lexi not only has perfect hair and a toned body but a dream husband named Eric who is stinking rich from sales of “loft-style living. Somehow, with an assist from an appearance on a TV reality show that is a riff on The Apprentice, she has become a superstar top executive at the flooring company where she used to be just another drone. Of course, for every upside, there is a down as Lexi puts together the missing pieces.
