The guy said, ‘It was the coolest thing!’”Princess, who lives at the theater, is just one of many cool things at this independent movie theater, which has been operating since 1914 at the corner of South Goodman and South Clinton avenues. The lobby is adorned with murals of local businesses and people. Old movie posters of films such as Gone With the Wind and Citizen Kane decorate the walls. An upstairs balcony, known alternately as “the baby room” and “the screaming room,” is available, complete with sofa and ottoman.
