Theseventh and final book in the Harry Potter series is apparently being printed inâtotal darknessâ in a bid to avoid leaks about the novelâsplot. Accordingto reports in a UK tabloid, security is so tight for Harry Potter and TheDeathly Hallows that German workers at theprint factory in the small town of Poessneck are being forced to work in pitchblack conditions so that they cannot read the final copy of the books. The ColdWar-style security measures follow high-profile leaks of information in therun-up to the publication of the previous three books. Besidesthese steps, they are also taking various other measures…
The pressworkersâ along with their bags and cars are searched as they arrive andleave the print factory. Employees have already been warned that they could besacked if they are found to have smuggled copies out of the place or placed betson the novelâs ending. HarryPotter author J K Rowling had earlier revealed that one or possibly two or threemajor characters in the book will die in the final literary installment of herbest-selling series. Thebook Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows comes out on July 21st, a week afterthe fifth movie adaptation – The Order of thePhoenix – goes out.
