content-row clearfloat –> Dancing penguins seem to have little to do with dark lords and new orders. Perhaps it’s some kind of PR magic. But the first teaser trailer for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (released July 12, 2007) has appeared on the official Happy Feet website. With the Australian animated tale of light-flippered penguins sitting atop the U. box office, no wonder the boy wizard’s fifth film adventure has tied its broomstick to Happy Feet’s coat-tails. Harry Potter heads should not get their spells in a bunch, though… box office, no wonder the boy wizard’s fifth film adventure has tied its broomstick to Happy Feet’s coat-tails. Imax Interest Could Get a Sequel

Imax’s third-quarter shortfall was blamed on installation delays of its 3-D projection system and soft film revenue because of a surprisingly poor box-office performance of The Ant Bully. A look at Imax’s past results shows the company’s strong dependence on hit movies. Last year, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and a re-release of The Polar Express were big winners for the company and helped to boost earnings and the share price. In February, Imax raised its full-year earnings estimates on the basis of expected strong showings of V for Vendetta, Poseidon and Superman Returns, as well as the computer-generated films Open Season and The Ant Bully. However, although Superman Returns broke box-office records, the other movies turned out to be major disappointments. Because the two prior computer-generated films this year did not live up to expectations, there was little optimism among analysts that Happy Feet — another computer-generated film that opened this past weekend — would generate any buzz that would bring in a larger audience. But Happy Feet, an animated penguin movie that was released in both conventional theaters and Imax 3D, silenced the critics, earning more than $42 million total over its first weekend.

But none of that matches the thrill of his own unusual sport. “Horseball is more exhilarating than any of them,” he says. Think Quidditch, the fanciful Harry Potter contest, and substitute horses for broomsticks. A fast-moving, rough-and-tumble equestrian mix of rugby and basketball, it’s a furiously exciting game that’s just starting to take off in Britain after 15 years in the shadows. Will Haynes, 27, is captain of the British men’s team and has just returned from the European championships in Belgium clutching fourth place – a creditable achievement, given that there was no serious British involvement in the sport before 1991. A stuntman by day, Haynes has battled Cybermen in Dr Who and tussled with ghouls in The Mummy Returns… Next year a university league is planned, which will include teams from Durham, Warwick, Lincoln and York. “It’s fantastic fun,” says Mary Pettifor. “Whether J K Rowling saw horseball before she wrote Harry Potter I don’t know, but it’s just like Quidditch. ” Saddling up Information on rules, clubs, coaching and events: British Horseball Association (.
