All-Horror Movie File: ‘Hostel 2′ & More – Movie News…
MTV.com – Oct 26, 2006
While Tobin Bell happily admits that he’d love to do more “Saw” movies, he first wanted to break the news that he’ll lend his creepy presence to a “Harry Potter”-like fantasy film. “It’s a children’s movie about Halloween, about a girl who loves to read,” he said of “The Bookstore,” which he’s currently filming in Pittsburgh. “I play a character called the Stranger, who is kind of a metaphysical character. The girl loves to read and loves horror stories, and she reads horror stories and she discovers a bookstore and goes inside. I’m the owner of the bookstore, but the bookstore is not real.

You could argue that text and e-mail compete with each other but they do not,” Mr Oxby said. 3 UK hopes free instant messaging will bolster its non-voice revenue as customers start to use their phone for more applications. Bob Fuller, the chief executive of 3 UK, said that excluding voice and text revenue, its data revenue is greater than that of traditional media companies such as Harry Potter owner Bloomsbury Publishing and radio company GCap Media. Bloomsbury reported revenue of £109m in its last financial year whilst GCap recorded sales of £211m. 3 UK has invested heavily in a number of content areas including user-generated content, mobile television and music. It is the second-largest legal digital music provider in the UK, behind Apple’s iTunes, and the fourth-largest distributor of Universal Music’s product in the world. Sales of music on 3’s network account for over 10 per cent of the UK singles chart.

Don’t panic! Here comes emo
Telegraph.co.uk – Oct 26, 2006
Emo in general, moreover, is bigger than the meagreness of its media coverage in Britain suggests. Not only are New Jersey’s kohl-daubed My Chemical Romance number one in the singles chart, but this Sunday they may well beat Robbie Williams to the top of the album chart. Views on emo from many people over the age of 21 range from derision (it’s “Harry Potter goth” or “diet punk”) to near-terror. It’s “a teenage cult”, “frightening for schools and parents” and “a celebration of self-harm”, howled the Daily Mail in August. It’s hard to square that portrayal with the tight-packed hordes at Sunday’s gig. Frankly, they look like McFly fans with more eyeliner. And their excitement, pre-show, is plainly huge – and shrill.
