The 17-year-old actor is desperate to get away from the boy wizard role that has made him an international star. "Part of me wants to shake up people’s perception of me, just shove me in a blender," he said. Yesterday, filming on Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix shut down one of London’s busiest Underground train stations. Crews had to close the Westminster tube station – which is situated near the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey – to shoot a key scene for the fifth instalment in the franchise. In the book the Harry Potter and Arthur Weasley use the underground train network to attend a disciplinary hearing at the Ministry of Magic.

Books that provide grist for academic mills are rarely pleasant to read. In fact books that are easy to read, are almost always dismissed by educators as trivial, but truely great books, like Huckberry Finn, contain great themes, clearly expressed. The books that last, uniformly distress educators, who miss the obvious. The average reader extracts pleasure and information from archtypes he can model himself after, rather than from complex ambivilant conflict… Tarzan, not Hamlet. The books that truely last are frequently crudely written, but they provide vibrant heros for adolescents. Witness Sherlock Holmes, Huck Finn, Travis McGee, Harry Potter, hundreds more. These are the books that teach themselves, that dont need to be Taught. Archtypes are what defince cultures, not finely crafted books that cant be read.
