James Heneage founder of Ottakar’s a much-loved and quirky…
Telegraph.co.uk – Apr 26, 2006
“We are now in the endgame” says Heneage wincing as he struggles to find a comfortable position. Owls lizards and sleeping bags were laid on for children who came to buy the 100000 copies that the temporarily renamed “Pottakar’s” had piled up for sale from midnight. That night Heneage toured his shops like a general inspecting his battle lines noting with delight the queues outside. But initial euphoria diminished as it became clear that the first night was only an initial skirmish. Over the next few weeks millions of Potter-fans shunned bookshops and bought their copies of Harry’s latest adventure from Tesco or Kwiksave instead where they were several pounds cheaper.

Group to sue over caged patients
Prague Post – Apr 26, 2006
“There are hospitals in which the number of beds has even increased” Fiala said though he declined to name specific facilities. The Health Ministry which banned the beds in June 2004 denies that any institution under its control still uses them. “The use of caged beds that was discussed in the media falls under the Labor and Social Affairs Ministry; it wasn’t about the psychiatric hospitals” says Jana Kopecká spokeswoman for the Health Ministry. Kate?ina Beránková spokeswoman for the Labor and Social Affairs Ministry says “As far as I know there are no caged beds in psychiatric hospitals. But Ivan David director of Bohnice Psychiatric Hospital in Prague says two caged beds are still in use there. Asked why David says “The Health Ministry is incapable of saying of expressing something. The ministry is incompetent so why should we adjust to it?” MDAC officials would not comment specifically on their legal challenge — including whether they have actually filed a lawsuit yet — or say how many patients are believed to be involved.

The trucks were supplied by Volvo Dealer Hartshorne Motor Services and according to Eve Trakway?s Transport Development & Compliance Manager Paul Hargrave will spend around 70% of their time off-road delivering installing and recovering access equipment from a combination of major sporting events construction sites and infrastructure upgrade projects for utility companies such as National Grid Transco.
